Our Terms & Conditions

Marmont Canoe Hire T’s & C’s of Hire Safety instructions and rules.

Agreement and Definitions to terms Marmont Canoe Hire are the ‘hirers’ and the person or persons hiring the canoes are the participant or participants.

It is the participant(s) responsibility to make themselves familiar with the terms and conditions.

By making a booking the participant(s) are agreeing to accept these terms and conditions of hire, instructions and safety rules.

When booking by telephone, Facebook or on our Website, the participant(s) will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the above said Terms and conditions of hire, instructions and safety rules.

Children under the age of 16 are allowed to participate if accompanied by a responsible adult, who will take full responsibility for their behaviour and safety. All children are required to wear a buoyancy aid.

The safety of the participant(s) and other river users is paramount.

Please listen to the safety briefing and adhere to river etiquette at all times.

There are many birds and wildlife on the river, please respect their habitat.

Do not stand in the canoe other than during embarking or disembarking from the boat.

Do not use it to jump into the river.

Please note that you should only stop at public moorings. There are many along the river outside shops, picnic areas and pubs.

We ask that the boats be returned in the same condition as when you arrived.

You may use the whole of the river, however if another craft is approaching please pass on the right.

Please take all your litter home or give it to us to dispose of on your return.

All water sports, including Canoeing and Kayaking, can be dangerous. Risks include drowning, slips, trips, falls and hypothermia. Whilst every precaution is taken to ensure your safety, should you require personal injury insurance please arrange this before your arrival.

Thank you.

Tracy Angus.
